I have two great books to briefly review and giveaway. The first, Amanda’s Big Dream, was mentioned in my post about talking to kids about weight. And the second, First Bites, is a cookbook for babies and toddlers. (more…)

I have a 10-week-old, so the First Foods book would be great for when we move beyond breastfeeding in a few months!

It’s so difficult to talk to your own children about the issue of weight without hurting their feelings. One of my daughters is now working with middle school age girls in the area of fitness. The book about Amanda’s Big Dream would be helpful with wording in talking with them about weight issues.

Hey there! Love love your blog!
My little guy just turned ONE and I’m sure trying to do my best to get all the nutrients in his little body as I can, but it’s easy to fall back on packaged favorites (hello again, squeezy pouches!) I’d love some fresh ideas!

I have a very difficult eater – a 2 1/2 year old that I’m still trying to wean off Infatrini. I’m very anxious about starting to wean my 5 month old next month and so the First Foods book would be really useful!

I work with children of all ages and sizes. I truly believe in health at every size and believe that’s what it takes to make a good connection with our food and body. I think “Amanda’s Big Dream” would be a great resource to share with these children and their parents.

These both look like great books! I’d especially love the first bites book. I have a 2 year old and twin 4 month olds. I’m needing advice and recipes regarding toddler and infant eating! I’m very busy and tired, like most moms, and could use the help 🙂 thanks!

I totally want the baby foods book! I am a big fan of you and Ellyn Sater. I have a 10-month-old with whom we’ve done baby led weaning. I want to stay on top of my learning for good foods and good habits.

Both look great, but I would especially love the First Bites book. I have a toddler and a 6 month old about to start solids. It would be great to have this book to refer to. Thanks!

Oh my goodness I really want both of these! I’m having a baby girl in a few weeks, and I know down the line those body image conversations are going to be some of the hardest. I already worry about it. And of course I’ll need all the ideas I can get once she starts eating solid foods!

I would love to win both of these books. I am due in May and would love to read First Bites. I would also enjoy reading Amanda’s big dream since I work with weight management in children.

My maternity leave is coming to a close and I would really appreciate having some new recipes to work into my meal planning. I’ll have a 1 yr old and a 3yr old to pack lunches for and race home to cook dinner for. First Bites sounds like it would have some great ideas for us.

I would LOVE the ‘FIRST BITES’ book! In addition to being a first time mom myself (and definitely needing some help with creative food ideas), I am also a registered dietitian and could use this as such a helpful tool for the families that I work with. Thank you!

I’ve been feeding my 17 month old a separate dinner, and just recently we moved dinner time so we could all eat together. And wouldn’t you know, she’s eating what we eat! First bites sounds like the perfect book of recipes so we can keep the momentum going!
